Solvay Bank Employees Raise Over $2,000 for the American Cancer Society

June 17, 2011: Employees at Solvay Bank collected over $2,000 for the American Cancer Society through a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser and by their participation in the Society's Solvay-Geddes-Westvale Relay for Life event. Executive Officers at Solvay Bank cooked a pancake, sausage and fruit salad breakfast for staff in return for a donation made to the American Cancer Society. Additionally, luminaries were sold and walkers in the Relay event garnered sponsor pledges.

During the Relay for Life event, 25 Solvay Bank employees completed 170 laps. "The Relay is a special night for many of us and we always have very strong employee participation." said Paul P. Mello, CPA, President and CEO. "Community involvement is one of our core values and we recognize the good work of everyone involved in this year's Relay for Life event."
