Account Alerts

Alerts from Solvay Bank allow you to monitor your accounts – when you're not even looking!

You can receive an electronic notification of your account activity sent to your email, mobile device or even inside your online banking account – whichever you choose. Alerts are a complimentary service available to Solvay Bank Online Banking customers, allowing you to stay informed of activity on your account.

Alerts are fast. Once an alert is established, we monitor your account 24 hours a day. Depending on the template you select, we'll send you a notification of account events you've selected as they happen or just once a day.

    1. Log on to Online Banking.
    2. Are you enrolled in Mobile Banking? We highly recommend that you enroll in Mobile Banking if you wish to receive alerts on your mobile phone.
    • If you are enrolled or wish to be enrolled, then follow the steps(A-E) below to enable your phone for alerts.
    • If you are not, but would still like to set up alerts, please skip to step 3.

    Follow these steps (A-E) to enable alerts for you mobile phone.

    1. Click on 'User Options' from the menu

    1. Scroll down to "Mobile Banking Profile" and click manage devices to open the Mobile Banking Services Menu. If you are not enrolled it will say "Enroll Now" and will prompt you thru the set-up, including Alerts.

    1. From the ‘My Devices' tab, Click the drop down and choose “Change my Mobile Banking services” , click 'Go'.

    1. Check the box for 'Alerts', then click 'Continue' to return to the Mobile Banking Services Menu. It is not necessary to make other changes to your service choices at this time.

    1. Alerts are now enabled for your phone. To return to online banking, click the exit button in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
    1. From the overview page, Click above your List of Accounts for the Alerts Menu.

    1. Choose the type of Alert you would like to set up. (Checking, Savings, etc.)

    1. Click "Setup New Alert".

    1. Select an alert from the available templates.

    1. Complete the alert template. The system will give you choices in the alert set-up based on the alert that you choose. If there is a choice for you to make, a drop down arrow will appear to the right of the field. Click Finish.

    1. You’re done. Now each time this event takes place you will receive an alert in the method you’ve chosen (by email, mobile text or inside your online banking).
    2. To close the Alerts menu, simply click on the X in the upper right corner.

    Important Information You Should Know

    Please note:

    • Alerts do not prevent account events from occurring – they just alert you of their presence.
    • Certain alerts are issued only once per account event you select and some alerts are recurring. Please see our FAQs on Account Alerts for more detailed template information.
    • Alerts cannot be guaranteed to be issued or arrive within a certain time period of any account event. We do our best to provide alerts in a timely manner with accurate information, however alerts may be delayed or prevented by a variety of factors beyond our control such as system failures with internet or cellular providers.
    • To stop receiving an alert, from the alerts menu, simply click Delete next to the alert you wish to stop.
    • If you choose to have alerts sent as texts to your mobile phone message and data rates from your cell phone or internet provider may apply.

    What are Alerts?

    How often will I receive Alerts?

    Alerts are sent when the criteria you establish is met. Depending on the alert template you choose, you could be notified daily or throughout the day as activity happens.

    Is there a limit to how many Alerts I can receive?

    No. You can set-up as many alerts on your accounts as you desire.

    What are the requirements for Alerts?

    You must be an Online Banking customer to set-up and receive alerts.

    Can I change or delete an Alert I have set-up?

    From the Alert Menu, click on the appropriate icon for View, Edit, or Delete. Please note that not all fields can be modified once an alert is established. For some templates you may need to delete the active Alert and then set up a new one.

    What are Alert Templates?

    The following templates are available for all users that have access to Online Banking. Templates are used as a starting point for the different alerts that you wish to set up.

    Check(s) Cleared

    An alert will be sent to you when a specific check or range of checks clear your account. If checks are found to match the criteria you define the event will fulfill and delete. The system will check for this information during the nightly process.

    Checking Withdrawal

    An alert will be sent to you when a withdrawal posts to your Checking Account.

    Checking Deposit

    An alert will be sent to you when a deposit, greater than or less than a specified dollar amount set by you, is made to your Checking Account.

    Checking Balance

    An alert will be sent to you when the balance in your Checking Account is greater than or less than a specified dollar amount set by you.

    Savings Withdrawal

    An alert will be sent to you when a withdrawal posts to your Savings Account.

    Savings Deposit

    An alert will be sent to you when a deposit is made to your Savings Account.

    Savings Balance

    An alert will be sent to you when the balance in your Savings Account is greater than or less than a specified dollar amount set by you.

    Loan Payment Due

    An alert will be sent to you when a payment is due on your Loan. The system will check for this information during the nightly process.
