Solvay Bank Announces Plans for 10th Branch in East Syracuse

(Syracuse, NY): Solvay Bank, the oldest community bank established in Onondaga County, proudly announced plans to open its 10th branch office at 4248 James Street in East Syracuse, Town of DeWitt. This exciting development underscores the Bank’s long-time commitment to delivering customer-focused financial services across Central New York.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on May 12, 2025, to mark the start of construction on the new 2,200-square-foot Smart*Office, conveniently located in the Wegmans Plaza on James Street. The new branch is slated to open its doors by the end of the year.

The new branch will offer a full suite of personal, business, and municipal banking products and services, enhanced by digital banking tools and customer-friendly features, including ample parking, full-service ATM, and a welcoming layout. Solvay Bank will hire four full-time employees trained to support customer’s evolving banking needs, while upholding the personalized service the bank is known for.
By expanding into East Syracuse, Solvay Bank aims to grow its customer base, better serve the financial needs of area residents and businesses, and play a meaningful role in supporting the economic growth and vibrancy of the community.
