Solvay Bank Announces Appointment

Syracuse, N.Y.—Solvay Bank, the oldest community bank established in Onondaga County, is pleased to announce that Michele Fernandez, Vice President, Enterprise Risk Manager & CRA Officer, has recently been elected to join the Home HeadQaurters’ (HHQ) board as a private sector member.
Michele joined Solvay Bank in 1991 and leads the Enterprise Risk Management department. In addition to being elected to join the HHQs’ Board, she currently serves as a member of the Board Development Committee. Michele serves as Treasurer at Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Syracuse and is a member of the Government Relations Committee with the Independent Community Bankers Association of New York State. She was recognized by Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Business as a “Forty Under 40” award recipient. Michele resides in Solvay, New York.
