(Syracuse, NY): Solvay Bank is pleased to announce Solvay Bank AVP, Assistant Retail Banking Manager Robert Tackman has been appointed as the Vice President of Membership for the Longhouse Council, Boy Scouts of America’s Executive Board of Directors.

Robert has been a member of the Boy Scouts of America since 1990 when joining as a Cub Scout and reaching the Eagle Scout rank in 2001. Over the past several years, Robert has supported the organization by chairing an annual fundraiser and last year joining the Executive Board.

“I am so excited for this new opportunity to serve and give back to the organization that I have been apart of since I was a young child. Scouting has been a huge part of my personal and professional development. I look forward to working with the amazing team we have at the Longhouse Council to provide the youth in our community with the same amazing experiences I had as a child in Scouting!”

The Longhouse Council is one of more than 270 local councils. The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, founded in 1910, is to provide an educational program for youth of all ages to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship and to develop personal fitness.

Robert joined Solvay Bank in 2022 as AVP, Assistant Retail Banking Manager for Branch Administration at the corporate headquarters in Solvay.
